On this page, we address some of the more common queries from readers.
Why can’t I control access to sub-pages on Webfax?
Webfax uses software that emulates the broadcast teletext service. As such, viewers have to wait until sub-pages come round in the broadcast cycle.
Sub-pages are transmitted in numerical order, incrementing every 30 seconds or so.
The normal Webfax service has been replaced by a test page
This indicates there’s a technical failure. Usually such breaks in transmission are brief.
If the problem persists, please report it to us via our contact form or follow and DM us on Bluesky.
Content on Webfax is not up-to-date
Occasionally, the software used to gather in data from external web sources fails. We normally spot such issues quite quickly but if it looks like a problem has gone unnoticed, please drop us a line via our contact form or follow and DM us on Bluesky.
I’d like to report a fault/suggest an improvement for the Ceefax recreation/Pages from Ceefax Live services
The two Ceefax recreation services carried on the Webfax website are operated by NMS, as is the YouTube-based Pages from Ceefax Live service. Please contact NMS directly.
