On this page, we address some of the more common queries from readers.
Why can’t I control access to sub-pages on Webfax?
Webfax uses software that emulates the broadcast teletext service. As such, viewers have to wait until sub-pages come round in the broadcast cycle.
Sub-pages are transmitted in numerical order, incrementing every 30 seconds or so.
The normal Webfax service has been replaced by a test page
This indicates there’s a technical failure. Usually such breaks in transmission are brief.
If the problem persists, please report it to us via our contact form or DM us on X/Twitter.
Content on Webfax is not up-to-date
Occasionally, the software used to gather in data from external web sources fails. We normally spot such issues quite quickly but if it looks like a problem has gone unnoticed, please drop us a line via our contact form or DM us on X/Twitter.
I’d like to report a fault/suggest an improvement for the Ceefax recreation/Pages from Ceefax Live services
The two Ceefax recreation services carried on the Webfax website are operated by NMS, as is the YouTube-based Pages from Ceefax Live service. Please contact NMS directly.
